Spermatic Vein Embolization (SVE) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicocele, a condition caused by enlarged veins in the scrotum that can lead to pain, swelling, or infertility. During the procedure, a catheter is guided into the affected spermatic vein, and tiny coils or special solutions are used to block the abnormal blood flow. This redirects circulation to healthy veins, relieving symptoms and improving fertility outcomes. Compared to open surgery, SVE is safe, less painful, and allows for quicker recovery.
